The Gardai are planning to add 8 new, experienced Gardai to Rathcoole Garda Station. The news comes in response to a crime wave of burglaries in the rural area and has been welcomed by local Fine Gael Councillor, Emer Higgins. "An increase of 8 local Gardai for Rathcoole Station is really welcome news. There's been a 50% increase in burlgaries in the wider area of Rathcoole and it's sparked huge local concern," explained Cllr. Emer Higgins. €2.595 has been made available to support home adaptations for older people, people with a disability and people with mobility issues in South Dublin Cllr. Emer Higgins has said. Cllr. New GP contract will see a 40% increase in funding for General Practice over the next four years - E

Fine Gael Cllr Emer Higgins has said the Government’s new agreement with the Irish Medical Organisation (IMO) on a major package of GP contractual reforms will benefit Dublin patients and make general practice a more attractive career option for doctors.
